2020 Construction Expo

The ACEA 2020 Construction Expo is an exciting opportunity for students to explore the diverse careers related to the construction industry. This event is free for students and free to exhibit!

DATE: Friday, March 27, 2020

TIME: 10 AM – 2 PM

LOCATION:  901 Dalton Lane, Austin, TX  78742

STUDENTS REGISTER BY:  February 27, 2020

DRESS CODE:  All attendees are required to wear closed toe shoes or boots and full-length pants. No sleeveless attire is allowed. Hard hats, safety glasses, and safety vests will be provided at the event and must be worn to operate tools and equipment. Anyone not in compliance will not be able to participate in activities.

PRESENTATION TYPES

  • Heavy Equipment – Students are able to operate heavy equipment.  Example:  Pipe installation, Geo-technical Rig, Mini-Excavator, Skid Steer, Skip Loader and D3 Dozer
  • Hands-On Activities – Students work with tools and small equipment doing real-world tasks.  Example:  Drone & survey station
  • Instructional – Students learn about employment opportunities and skills necessary.  Local educational programs and industry associations will hand out information about their programs and services.

Become a Sponsor

Promote your business for a good cause!  Sponsorship funds will offset the costs of a tent, safety equipment for the students, drinking water and other necessities.  In kind donations are also gratefully accepted and will be recognized in all promotional materials before and after the event.

Gold Hard Hat – $1,000

  • Company recognition on signage at the event
  • Opportunity to provide company literature or giveaway item to the students
  • Company recognition in all promotional materials before and after the event.

Silver Hard Hat – $500

  • Opportunity to provide company literature or giveaway item to the students
  • Company recognition in all promotional materials before and after the event

Bronze Hard Hat – $250

  • Company recognition in all promotional materials before and after the event

 

Volunteer

Promote your company for another good cause! Volunteers will help set up and breakdown, direct vehicles to parking area, guide student groups to each station, etc. Volunteers can assist on March 27th at 9 am.

Volunteers benefits include:

  • Public recognition and exposure for your business
  • Your business featured on ACEA newsletter, website, social media
  • Priority review of student applications for summer labor
  • Complimentary lunch and water throughout the day.
