Scholarship Program Objective

ACEA Scholarship Program has been established to provide financial assistance to youth who intend to pursue educational opportunities in the construction and/or engineering career fields that will enhance the communities in which they live. The scholarship fund provides grants on an annual basis to high school seniors. The scholarship is $2,000 with an additional payment of $3,000 after maintaining a 3.0 GPA after the second semester of the freshman year. Three scholarships will be awarded for 2014 by the Selection Committee and/or the ACEA Board of Directors.

General Scholarship Requirements

  • Applicant must be a high school senior at the time of application
  • Applicant must be entering the construction or engineering field of study in college or vocational school
  • Applicant must reside in Travis, Williamson, Burnet, Blanco, Hays, Caldwell or Bastrop counties during their senior year of high school
  • Recipient will receive $2000 for their first year of school upon acceptance by the scholarship committee
  • Recipient will receive an additional $3000 to be awarded for the second year if a 3.0 or higher GPA is maintained during their first year

    James “Jim” Brewer Memorial Scholarship Requirements

    • Applicant must be a high school senior at the time of application
    • Applicant must be entering the construction or engineering field of study in college or vocational school
    • Applicant must reside in Travis, Williamson, Burnet, Blanco, Hays, Caldwell or Bastrop counties during their senior year of high school
    • Recipient will receive $5000 for their first year of school upon acceptance by the scholarship committee
    • Recipient will receive an additional $3000 to be awarded for the second year if a 3.0 or higher GPA is maintained during their first year
    • In addition, should the recipient join the Texas A & M Corps of Cadets at the time of their enrollment, the recipient will receive $3000 per school year for their third and fourth years (four years’ total of scholarship payments) as long as the recipient remains in the Corps and maintains a 3.0 GPA or higher for all four years
