The Community Involvement Committee is responsible for several events and programs which are listed below.

Thirsty Thursday Happy Hour

First Thursday of every month from 4 - 7 pm at the Third Base (South Austin, 9600 S. IH35 ~ near Slaughter)

Last Thursday of every month from 4 - 7 pm at the Third Base (Round Rock, behind Joy's)

 

Our Thirsty Thursdays are an opportunity/excuse to meet new people, mingle with co-workers and people from other companieson an informal basis, do a bit of business, have some fun, and experience a new place. Make it a Power Hour! Please join us for our next Thirsty Thursday Happy Hour.

Scholarship Program

The scholarship fund provides financial assistance to youth pursuing educational opportunities in the construction and/or engineering career fields or other careers fields that will enhance the communities in which they live. The scholarship fund provides annual grants to high school seniors in variable amounts and terms determined by the Scholarship Selection Committee and/or the ACEA Board of Directors.

Christmas Gifts For Children Program

santaA Jolly Success!

Santa delivered a sleigh full of presents to the children of Mainspring Preschool recently, and the face of each child was filled with joy and delight. Sixty children were served, thanks to the generosity of ACEA members! A special thanks to Frank Del Castillo, serving as jolly Santa and Santa's sleigh driver ~Brian Haegelin.

Blue Santa Support

Operation Blue Santa sends a special thanks to ACEA members for their generous personal donations at the December Luncheon. Individual contributions came to $750! A special thanks to the police officers on hand to accept your donations.

Goal: Foster ACEA’s profile and membership and develop a forum for members to contribute to the community

  • Plan and implement special events supporting ACEA’s goals to include public involvement
  • Conduct membership drives
  • Administer the ACEA Scholarship Program
  • Solicit member involvement
  • Report on activities to the Board and general membership
